Garlogie Mill is established as a textile mill powered by water wheel.
1832
The mill is purchased by A Hadden and Sons; 20 hp 1805 Boulton & Watt Beam Engine installed.
1870s
Beam engine and boilers upgraded by Blaikie and Sons, Aberdeen.
1890s
Hercules turbine replaces the waterwheel.
1905
Production at the mill ceases; buildings repurposed over time.
1923
Purchased by Lord Cowdray and hydro-electric plant installed.
2020s
The beam engine is preserved; site becomes heritage museum.
2030s
Boilers installed and beam engine runs on steam.
